Practise at a tempo you measured
If you do not know the tempo of a song, measure it first with the BPM Tap Counter. Opening the metronome from the practice button on the result carries the measured BPM over to this screen. A bpm value that is not a number opens at 120 BPM, and values below 10 or above 300 are rounded into the supported range. You can change the tempo at any time.
Check the tempo as numbers
To see how long one beat or one bar lasts, use the Tempo Converter. It turns a BPM and a time signature into beat, bar, and multi-bar lengths, and lists every note value including dotted notes and triplets. It plays no sound and only reports numbers.
Due to browser limitations, playback may stop or become unstable if you switch tabs or let the screen turn off. It is recommended to keep the window active while using the metronome.

Yes. Open the metronome from the practice button on the BPM Tap Counter result and it starts at the measured BPM. You can still change the tempo here.
When does the handoff fall back to the default?
If the bpm value in the URL is not a number, the metronome opens at 120 BPM. Values below 10 or above 300 are rounded to the lowest or highest tempo the tool supports.
Are my tempo settings saved?
No. The metronome runs locally in your browser and tempo settings are not sent to a server. A handed-off BPM is only read from the URL and is never stored.
